My lawful bases under the UK GDPR are:

    • Contract: To take steps at your request prior to entering counselling/psychotherapy

    • Legitimate interests: To respond to enquiries and assess suitability of services

 

  • Special Category Data (sensitive health information): If you choose to include health or mental health information in an enquiry, this is treated as special category data.

    • Article 9 (2)(h): Provision of health or social care

How Your Data Is Stored:

  • Emails are stored securely on password-protected devices or accounts

  • Any electronic records are stored on encrypted devices or secure systems


I take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorised access.

How Long Your Data Is Kept:

  • If you do not become a client, enquiry data will normally be deleted within 3-6 months.

 

  • If you become a client, your data will be handled in line with my Client Privacy & Data Protection Notice located in the Counselling/Psychotherapy Agreement, Informed Consent & Privacy Notice.

I do not sell or share your data for marketing purposes.

Your data may be processed by trusted service providers (e.g. email, website hosting, booking system) who act as data processors, who are contractually required to protect your information.
